Community Centre

Community clubs run events and a chance to catch up with friends

What does it do?

Royal Voluntary Service Community Centres offer weekly programmes of activities covering arts and heritage, lifelong learning, healthy living and social events. The cafés that are often within the community centres are open to older visitors and the general public for a coffee, chat and a bite to eat. They support healthy eating choices and offer good food at affordable prices.

Royal Voluntary Service can help older people maintain their independence and stay involved in the local community.

We have volunteers across Herefordshire who offer help and support so older people can stay independent at home in Hereford, Ross on Wye, Leominster, Kington, Bromyard, Ledbury and the surrounding areas.

See our local services below but we may be able to offer you more. If you can't find something suitable for you or a loved one then just ask.

As everyone is different, Royal Voluntary Service can tailor support to your individual needs. We’ll visit you at home and work with you to create a support package that suits you.

All our volunteers have been DBS checked.

Additional information:

Our activity clubs might play host to music, bingo or guest speakers. Equally we may organise trips to other venues; to indoor bowls, for example.

We run lunch clubs and social clubs in Leominster, Sutton St Nicholas, Hereford City and many more across the county where you can catch up with friends over a nutritious lunch time meal and stay the afternoon and enjoy some of our activities. If getting there is a problem, we can arrange transport for you.
