Sefton Home Visit Library Service

What does it do?

Books and ‘talking’ books (on tape or CD)are delivered to you in your own home. You do not have to be completely housebound but you might, for instance, have difficulty walking, making use of public transport, or carrying books. We deliver and collect the books on a rota basis, generally once a month.

We can supply you with books, old and new – from light romances to classics, from family sagas to contemporary novels. Would you like biographies, travellers’ tales, history, sport, nature, poetry or true crime? Whatever your interests, we will try and cater for them. Many books are also available in large print.

Who it is for?

Less mobile members of the Sefton community, who may be unable to get to a local branch library by themselves.
