Support for Small Group Activities

Supporting small activity groups in isolated rural areas.

What does it do?

An individual support plan to help you achieve your goals. A worker will support a small group of people to come together and take part in an activity of their choice. 
The group might decide to meet for coffee or lunch, go for walk, visit a place of interest, go to the theatre or pursue a mutual interest or hobby.

Who it is for?

This solution is particularly suited to people in isolated rural areas with few local activities and high transport costs.

Local service (Allerdale, Copeland).

There is a charge for this service

You can:
  • Use your individual budget
  • Use direct payments
  • Pay for yourself

How to access or apply for it:

Ask your social worker to refer you or you can make your own private arrangements by calling our help line.

Additional information:

Your support worker will either transport you in their car, accompany you on public transport or arrange transport for you. There will be a charge for transport.
