What does it do?

Age UKIW information & advice services

We offer free, impartial and confidential support enabling you to make informed decisions, keep your independence and have control of your life. 

We can offer information & advice on almost any topic! Whatever your situation we are here to help, and if we can't help we can put you in touch with people who can.

All of our Information & Advice services are confidential, and we will not pass your information to anyone without your permission.

Our information and advice services dealt with 6,358 enquiries during the 2013/14 year covering a wide range of topics.

Free and confidential information for anyone over 50 years of age on the Isle of Wight.

Local service (Isle of Wight).

What it costs:

There is no charge for this service. However, if you are happy with the information or advice you received and would like to, you can make a donation to help us keep the service running so that more people can benefit from it in future.

How to access or apply for it:

Our Information & Advice Drop-in Surgeries are held on Tuesdays between 2 to 4pm, and on Wednesdays from 10am to 1pm. All other enquiries will be dealt with by appointment only, or if the client cannot get into our Newport offices we can arrange a home visit.
Outside of the drop-in surgeries, people needing the help of the information and advice team should ring the office on weekday mornings when a member of staff, or volunteer should be available to take the enquiry. If nobody is available when you ring, we will call you back as soon as possible.
