Food n Friends

Food n friends for older people in Suffolk Age UK

What does it do?

Food n Friends clubs meet in a volunteer’s home on a regular basis for a simple home cooked meal. A club usually consists of 1 or 2 volunteers and 4 to 6 older people.
The guests pay the host just the cost of the refreshments, on a non proft-making basis. The volunteers are supported by us with relevant information which they are able to pass on to their guests. All potential volunteer hosts have reference checks by Age UK Suffolk before they can be accepted in the role.
If you think you might be interest in starting a Food n Friends club in your local area, we can offer support and advice right from getting started to keeping going and having fun on the way!
