Community Wayfinders
signposting and support to older peopleWhat does it do?
The role of the Wayfinders is to provide signposting and support to older people who may require information or activities to support health promotion and independence.
There is Wayfinder coverage across each of the Dorset POPP 33 clusters and each Wayfinder works 9 hours a week.
They can tell you where the local lunch clubs are, how to get your toenails cut, where to go for a local yoga class,
how to sign up for a course and lots more.Managed by Help and Care, Wayfinders work flexibly, managing their own diary to suit what's happening in their local communities.
They base themselves in convenient locations such as libraries, GP surgeries, community pharmacies or supermarkets, so you can find them easily and ask for their help.
