What does it do?

Care and support in the home: An SCA careworker can visit a customer regularly to provide personal care, medication, meals, help with paperwork or social support.
Home from Hospital: SCA careworkers help someone resettle in their home after a stay in hospital
Reablement: SCA careworkers can support someone to regain their independence after a stay in hospital, respite, a fall at home, etc
Domestic: SCA domestic staff can provide a house cleaning service
Support for Carers: SCA can provide respite support for carers, this can be offered on an hourly, daily, weekend or week rate.
Day Clubs: SCA operates day clubs for older people, including specialist clubs for those with dementia.
Sleeping/Waking Night Service: SCA can provide overnight support.

Who it is for?

SCA Care provides services to older people, carers, those with mental health or learning difficulties and those with a physical disability. All services are available to people aged 18+.

Where it is available?

Regional service (Dorset, Hampshire).

What it costs:

SCA Care can provide a free service if the individual is eligible for Local Authority support.
For those not eligible, our care rate is £14.95 per hour, £15.95 on weekends and £23.00 on bank holidays.
Our domestic rate is £10.50 per hour.
Our respite service is £12.95 per hour.
Our weekly live-in rate is £750 (£800 for bank holidays).

Our waking night service is £140 on a week night, £150 on a weekend and £215 on a bank holiday.
Our sleeping night service is £120 on a weekday, £130 on a weekend and £185 on a bank holiday.

What to expect then:

A Locality Manager will be in touch to discuss your needs over the phone (it can be done in person if preferred) and an visit and free assessment then takes place in the home.
