Nationwide Live-In Carer Service
Live-In Care, Convalescent Care, Care at HomeWhat does it do?
Able Community Care provides a Nationwide 24 hour Live-In Carer Service specifically tailored to the service users needs and wishes. We also provide a Home From Hospital Service to enable service users to safely convalesce and recover in the comfort of their own home. Our Carers live-in with you and provide 24 hour care and support. Typically, our Carers are placed with service users on a fortnightly, rotational basis with the aim of establishing a small pool of typically 2 or 3 regular Carers in order to provide a continuous service with as little disruption as possible.
Who it is for?
Older and/or disabled adults who wish to remain living in their own home as an alternative to residential care.
Where it is available?
National service (England, Scotland, Wales).
What it costs:
Where we introduce self-employed carers to service users, this cost approximately £850 to £1000 per week.
Each job is priced on the particular requirements of each client.
Funding for care can be a complex issue. As an agency introducing self-employed carers, we do not involve ourselves in the procurement of funding for our service users. We would encourage potential service users to investigate for themselves the various sources of funding eg. NHS
Funding For Care
Continuing Care Allowance.

Additional information:
Leaving your home to move into residential care is a sad experience for many people. But there is a choice, and that is to have a live-in carer service in your own home.
Live-in care staff can help with domestic, personal and social care, helping you to maintain your independence in your own home and in your community.
As we grow older, living at home often becomes more difficult and many people begin to consider a move into residential care. However, our experience has shown that having a regular rota of experienced carers in your own home is often a much happier alternative than moving into a care home.
Able Community Care has been providing live-in care services throughout the UK since 1980 and has provided continuous cover to many thousands of people.
