Monitoring & Responding - Pendant Alarms

What does it do?

As part of our core service we provide you with an alarm that is monitored 24 hours a day 7 days a week, including bank holidays and Christmas Day. If you need help we will contact your nominated friends or family or, if you choose our full service we will send one of our own responders. Maybe you have fallen in your home or garden but cannot get up, maybe you all of a sudden feel unwell or maybe somebody is hovering around outside your home? Our responders are first aid trained but in the event of you needing the emergency services we will contact them immediately.

The service is available to anyone over the age of 18.

Where it is available?

Local service (Forest Heath, Ipswich, St Edmundsbury, Suffolk Coastal, Waveney, Babergh, Mid Suffolk).

What it costs:

Option 1 - Monitoring Only (Minimum 3 Month Contract)
24/7 Monitoring by Emergency Call Centre (Non Emergency Response provided by named family, friends or neighbours) Provision of a Dispersed Alarm Unit & free fault replacement. Price per week £2.99 Once only set up fee £29.00

Option 2 - Emergency Visiting Response Only. 24/7 Emergency Response – Response provided by Suffolk Careline trained Emergency Responders. Price per week £4.50 No set up fee required.

Option 3 - Combined Monitoring & Emergency Visiting Response Package. Discounted combination of Option 1 and Option 2. Price per week £5.98. Once only set up fee £29.00

Key safe installation.
Highly recommended for all options (Key safe – Small secure box holding a key & fitted outside the home accessible only to authorised people to allow EMERGENCY ACCESS ONLY) Once only provision and fitting fee £47.50

Wellbeing visits.
Scheduled on a regular basis and of approximately 15 minutes duration. Price per visit £7.50
One off, temporary or short notice visits £9.50

Wellbeing telephone calls - Price per call 60p

Our services are designed to be as affordable as possible, but regardless of your financial situation, we will do our utmost to access funding for you if you require it. 

VAT is chargeable at prevailing rates. Qualifying persons are exempt from VAT on signing a VAT exemption certificate but where a Keysafe is required, VAT will be charged on this regardless of exemption.

How to access or apply for it:

If you have any enquiries please feel free to send us an email or give us a call. We are also more than happy just sending you a leaflet. One of our staff can also come and visit you with an alarm if you would like to have a look at one or just to have a chat about what it can do for you. This is a free service and visits can be made any day up to 4pm.

What to expect then:

After deciding you would like an alarm and you have contacted us via our referral line, one of our staff will visit you on a time & day agreed by yourself. We will go through everything with you, what the alarm can do and answer any questions you may have. If you decide before your install date that you no longer wish to have the alarm you can call us to cancel. There is no charge for this and even if we come to visit you and you change your mind whilst our staff are with you, don't worry. We do not pressure potential customers into doing anything they are not comfortable with.

Suffolk Careline is a not for profit Community Interest Company set up by Suffolk County Council in partnership with Community Voice Ltd.Our objective is to be of benefit to the community and in particular to provide assistance and support to older, disabled and vulnerable persons requiring assistance and support to remain in their own homes and to also avoid, where possible any unnecessary hospital admissions.
