We provide two services for older people:
Advocacy
This involves acting or speaking on behalf of clients and representing their views to agencies such as:

• Local authority housing departments
• Housing associations
• Residential care homes
• Sheltered housing
• Benefits agency
• Hospitals
• NHS Trusts
• GP surgeries

Appointeeship
This involves handling clients’ benefits, bill payments and debts. Appointee services may be required when an older person:

• Moves into sheltered housing
• Moves into residential care
• Falls into debt, e.g. with rent or utility bills, due to fluctuating capacity
• Is vulnerable to abuse or exploitation by others

Older People’s Services can be used by:

• People over the age of 64 who are referred by Adult Health & Community Services or Primary Care Trusts
• People over the age of 64 who refer themselves or who are referred by a relative and choose to pay for the services themselves (please contact us for current charges).

Local service (Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, North Warwickshire, Nuneaton & Bedworth, Rugby).

Free to adults known to disability or older people services throughout Warwickshire

Referrals arrive from Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust, Adult Health and Community Services and Primary Care Trusts across Warwickshire - older people can refer themselves.
