What does it do?

 

AGE Concern Eastbourne offers a FREE, impartial, general Information and Advice service for older people in Eastbourne and surrounding areas.

Our trained advisers can assist with a range of queries and concerns including:-Welfare benefits

– Consumer issues
– Housing & care options
– Health matters
– Local concerns

If we cannot immediately provide you with an answer we will research your enquiry and get back to you as soon as possible.

If you require specialist advice we can, with your permission, refer you to a relevant organisation such as Social Services, Trading Standards, Department of Work & Pensions and Citizens Advice Bureau, where you can be appropriately advised.

Alternatively, there are various services at the Venton Centre available (Financial Advice, Legal Advice, Will Writing, Pensions, Council Tax and Housing Benefit  Advice, Tax Advice) with a booking facility, on different days and times of the month.

How to access or apply for it:

Our service is available 3 days a week, between 9.30 – 1.00, at different locations within the Town. Additionally, there are various services at the Venton Centre available ie Financial,  Legal, Will Writing, Pensions, Council Tax , Housing Benefit & Tax Advice with a booking facility, on different days and times of the month.

We have volunteers who visit clients in their own homes if they are unable to access our Outreach sessions or the Venton Centre
