Advice Line

What does it do?

Carers UK provides high quality advice and information to carers and the professionals who support carers. Our expertise comes from years of experience of dealing with the problems carers face. This is available through our website, booklets/ factsheets, local branches, nation offices and through our national telephone Adviceline.

Our freephone telephone service supplies a range of information and advice, including:
  • Guide to caring
  • Financial and legal advice
  • Advice for young carers
  • Work and study information
  • Find local support groups and services
  • Advice on keeping healthy
The service is open seven days a week (8am - 9pm Monday to Friday and 11am - 4pm on weekends and bank holidays)

Online support
Carers UK's online forum offers a safe space where people can talk to others who know what they are going through.
Carers UK's forum is moderated by carers and former carers who are members of the online community. Become a member of Carers UK and you'll get instant access to the forum. (membership is free and only takes a few seconds to sign up)
