Darlington Ring-A-Ride

What does it do?

Operates two accessible minibuses that are equipped with a tail lift so that wheelchairs and people who have problems using conventional transport can access easily. Many people use the service to visit friends and to go shopping on a regular basis.

Who it is for?

For local residents who are unable to use regular forms of public transport due to disability or factors associated with old age.

Local service (Darlington).

What it costs:

The charges are £3.00 for a single journey within Darlington and £6.00 for a return journey. Then £4.50 for a single journey from the surrounding villages (within the borough of Darlington) £9.00 for a return journey. They also accept the Darlington Borough Council Concessionary Travel Vouchers.

Operating times are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm and Saturdays 8.30am–12.30pm. These times may be flexible upon request. Journeys can be booked in advance to ensure availability for visits to Hospital or Doctors appointments.
