Voluntary Car Driving Scheme

What does it do?

Journeys may be for such things as hospital appointments, visits to sick
relatives, or essential shopping.  There is a mileage charge which
starts and ends at the volunteer’s home; the volunteers give their time
free.  The service covers the whole of the CVS area.

Who it is for?

The service is available principally for elderly or disabled people
without their own transport and unable to access public transport.

Where it is available?

Local service (Harrogate).
