Holsworthy Volunteer Car Service

What does it do?

A taxi-like service, used when no other transport arrangement can be made. Volunteer drivers collect passengers from their home and drop them to a pre-planned destination (shopping, appointments, hospital etc).

Who it is for?

For local residents who have no access to transport of their own, and difficulty accessing public transport. Further, if a person is temporarily unable to drive, perhaps for medical reasons, they would also be eligible to use the service

Where it is available?

Local service (North Devon).

What it costs:

Passengers are asked to cover drivers' petrol costs and pay 45p per mile.
