Tavistock Ring & Ride

What does it do?

The Ring & Ride bus picks passengers up from home and takes them to Tavistock’s shops and town centre. Passengers have about 2 hours to do their shopping, visit the bank, or meet friends before the bus returns passengers to their homes.

Who it is for?

Transport for the rurally isolated; including young people, parents with young children, the frail elderly and those who find it physically difficult to use conventional public transport due to a temporary or permanent disability.

Where it is available?

Local service (West Devon).

How to access or apply for it:

Ring the coordinator at least a day before you need to travel on the bus (Friday for a Monday journey) on 01822 618028.

The bus picks up from the following areas:
Monday: Yelverton, Horrabridge, Dousland, Meavy area, Princetown. Also Tavistock town districts.
Tuesday: Bere Peninsula, Mary Tavy and Peter Tavy. Also Tavistock town districts.
Wednesday: Horrabridge, Yelverton, Crapstone, Buckland. Also Tavistock town districts
Thursday: Tavistock Town Districts, Plymouth
Friday: Mary Tavy, Peter Tavy, Bridestowe, Lewdown, Lifton, Chillaton and Tavistock Town Districts.
