What does it do?

At Age Concern Rotherham Day Services, we ensure that the care we provide is of the highest standard by delivering quality services that older people  request.

The centre is located on St Anns Road and employs caring staff who are commited to developing new initiatives which enable older people to live in their own homes longer.  Our trained staff are well supported and will have achieved or working towards National Vocation Qualifications (NVQ).

Opportunities for new friendships and experiences
Social interaction and stimulation to relieve loneliness and isolation
Stimlating range of cultural events eg. arts, crafts, games, gentle exercise, coffee mornings and social trips.
Help people stay active by maintaining links with the wider community
Access to intergenerational projects and learning opportunities
Listen and respond to views and comments and participate in decision making
Opportuntiy for the older person to have a real say in the running of this service by enabling older people to continue their own chosen lifestyle.

Several choices of freshly prepared, hot and cold midday meals (for a small additional charge) and refreshments are available or you can bring your own sandwich.

We also provide the following services: nail cutting, hairdressing, aromatherapy and showering.
We are open 10 am to 3pm.

Full day = £35 (speak to your Social worker, you may qualify for a Direct payment from Social Services to pay for this and the transport costs).
