What does it do?
The length of time people receive day services for will depend on their assessed needs. Our services are designed to:
- Help people to maintain their independence by assisting them in caring for themselves and carrying out tasks of daily living.
- Helping to maintain and improve personal skills they may have lost through illness or disability or to learn new skills they need to cope with changing circumstances.
- Assist in maintaining links with the community and avoid social isolation.
- Provide carers with a break and support where someone has more complex needs including dementia.
Who it is for?
We directly provide day services at a number of centres across the county. These are provided to older people and to people with a learning disability.
