Information and Advice

Information & Advice service in Bury

What does it do?

Our Age UK Bury Information and Advice Service is now available for older people in Bury.

Our speciality is helping people complete their Attendance Allowance forms. This allowance is a benefit that many over-65s can claim, if you need help with your personal care because of an illness or disability. It can be worth up to £81.30 a week and unlike many benefits, it is not means-tested.

We estimate that over 5,000 older people in Bury are not receiving their entitlement to Attendance Allowance and we want to reduce that number.
