Day Care Service - SubCo Trust

What does it do?

SubCo Trust offers linguistically, culturally and religiously suitable day care. The focus is on those who are socially isolated, frail and have difficulties living at home.

Day Care involves providing:
  • Social contact
  • Stimulating activities
  • Empowering the elders
  • Aiding them
in retrieving access from services the are entitled to

Day Care involves acting as a broker between service users and different agencies such as care agencies, social workers, GP's and families.

DAY CARE MEALS:
Vegetarian Gujarati and Punjabi style meals are provided for the service users who attend the Day Care over 5 Days. Day care services can be accessed only once refereed by a social worker and agreed by a panel. The local service centres can offer help and advice should anyone need referring.

Once service users come to the centre via SubCo transport they are offered a range of activities throughout the week such as:

  • Self Management courses
  • Intergenerational workshops
  • Cooking and nutrition classes
  • Reminiscenece groups
  • IT classes
  • Art & Crafts
  • Reiki sessions
  • Exercise sessions
  • Discussion groups

SubCo is a charity and voluntary organisation where the majority of funding originates fron the Adult Services department
