Somerset Centre

What does it do?

Our experienced and caring staff at the centre will ensure that independence, and personal dignity is respected at all times. The single storied building is fully accessible with comfortable seating and secure tables.
Lunch with menu choices is provided and special diets can be catered for. Our well tended patio garden is a favourite for sitting outside in warm weather. Indoor and outdoor activities that are safe and stimulating are organised. Assistance with personal care is readily available and chiropody and hairdressing services provided by arrangement.

Getting there
Somerset Day Centre owns a specially adapted minibus with a tail lift for wheelchairs which can be used to collect clients. There is always an escort to assist members getting on and off the bus. Some members may wish to make their own transport arrangements

What it costs:

There is a charge for the day services which is assessed according to your means, a minimum of £3 and a maximum of £23 per day. In addition each member is charged £4.20 for lunch and £2.50 for transport (£1.50 each way). A bath (with lift) is £2.00
