Meals Delivered To Your Home

What does it do?

To help them overcome this problem, our social care teams can arrange for community meals to be delivered direct to the doors of those assessed to be in need of the service. The meals - normally comprising a main course and a dessert - are planned to provide a balanced, nutritious diet and can be delivered on a daily basis or on scheduled dates, as required. Provision can be arranged on a short-term basis, to help people who have just come out of hospital, for example, or to cover a gap while another meal provider is temporarily unavailable. Or a long-term arrangement can be put in place for people affected by chronic illness or disability.

Who it is for?

Sometimes people are not able to cook for themselves, because of illness or frailty, and this can put at risk their ability to continue living independently in their own homes.

Where it is available?
