Enablement

What does it do?

Enablement is intensive short term support that aims to encourage and assist you to lead as independent and fulfilling a life as you can, in the way that you choose. We will work with you so that you learn, or re-learn, important skills you need for everyday life. An example could be helping you to regain your confidence following a fall or help you be able to prepare meals following a change in circumstances. Enablement may also identify pieces of equipment that could assist you. Enablement assists you to remain living independently for as long as you can. It is not about doing things for you, it is about giving you the skills and confidence to complete daily living tasks yourself.
