Day Support

What does it do?

There are a number of specialist day support services run by the Council or by local community or voluntary organisations. They are run by staff and volunteers who organise a full programme of activities to suit the people who go there, such as arts and crafts, computers, photography, sewing and dressmaking, cookery, dance, bridge and music.
If needed, care and support is available to help ensure that people are able to participate in activities. Lunch and refreshments may be provided. There is a chance to socialise with other people and enjoy days out.

Who it is for?

These specialist day centres are open to people over 18 with a learning or physical disability, or with sight or hearing loss.

Where it is available?
