Reablement

What does it do?

If you have lost some of your independence, perhaps due to a recent illness, disability or following a period in residential care, the reablement service may be able to help you get back up to speed. You might need extra support because you:

  • are returning home after a period in hospital or residential care
  • have physical disabilities
  • are older and need support to remain in your own home
  • want to regain skills and confidence to live independently.

There are various different types of support that you can get, for some people it could be help making meals, while others may need help to get out of the house and take part in social activities.
