What does it do?

We will visit you at home to offer advice on how to make your home safe and where appropriate fit a smoke alarm for free.

Who it is for?

We offer Home Fire Safety Checks to the most vulnerable individuals and groups within our communities.You may be eligible if you meet our criteria:

  • Someone aged 65 or over
  • Lone adult/lone parent
  • Someone with a permanent disability
  • Someone with permanent mobility difficulties
  • Someone who is on Careline/Lifeline
  • Someone who cannot hear a standard smoke alarm AND lives alone.

Where it is available?

Local service (Horsham, Worthing, Adur, Arun, Chichester, Crawley, Mid Sussex).

What it costs:

The service is free.
