Home Safety Checks

home safety check by fire services in Nottinghamshire

What does it do?

We are committed to making the communities we serve safer, and the best way to save a life is to prevent a fire in the first place. Home safety checks are a proven method of reducing fires and fire-related death and injury.
A home safety check is a free service provided by firefighters from local stations who visit people’s homes and carry out a number of checks to find out how safe the household is from fire.  It takes about 40 minutes to complete and firefighters will check your home, give you the fire safety advice needed to help keep you safe from fire and fit 10-year smoke alarm(s), if required.
