Elm Lodge community mental health team

What does it do?

Elm Lodge community mental health team provides assessment, treatment and support for people aged over 65 who live inGreenford, Northolt, Perivale and Southall and who display ongoing mental health problems.The service is also available to people under 65 who have been assessed as having needs usually associated with old age, such as dementia.
After an assessment, we can provide a range of services including:
  • Advice and guidance on what might help you.
  • Help to manage the medical side of your care, including medication.
  • Support for family and carers, including help with family issues.
  • Access to support with practical problems and personal care.
  • Counselling.
  • Psychotherapy.
  • Individual and group alternative therapies.
  • Practical equipment and help to develop skills to overcome anxieties about coping at home.
  • Help with communication and understanding and with feeding and swallowing difficulties.
  • Help with movement and mobility.
  • Advice on specialist dietary needs.

Who it is for?

People aged over 65 who live in Greenford, Northolt, Perivale and Southall and who display ongoing mental health problems.

Where it is available?

Local service (Ealing).

What it costs:

The service is free of charge.

How to access or apply for it:

Most people are referred to us by their GP (family doctor). You can also contact us directly. People who refer themselves will be
given a brief screening to decide if they are suitable for this service. If a full assessment is required, a written referral will be
requested from their GP.
