Bromley East(Older Adults) Community Mental Health

What does it do?

The Bromley West (Older Adults) Community Mental Health team offer assessment and treatment for people over the age of 65 with
mental health needs. We also offer support to their families and carers, including a carer's assessment if appropriate.
We see people with a range of mental health needs including:
  • anxiety
  • dementia with behaviour problems
  • depression
  • other mental health problems
We also have a memory clinic providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of dementia

People over the age of 65 with mental health needs in the Bromley West area.

Local service (Bromley).

What it costs:

The service is free of charge.

How to access or apply for it:

Your GP will have contacted us on your behalf, to refer you to our services. First of all they would have ruled out any physical difficulties that you may have had. Also, if you are in hospital, you may have been referred to us by your consultant psychiatrist.

What to expect then:

After your initial assessment by our Older Adult Assessment Team at Bridgeways Day Hospital, you will be referred to the Bromley East Team for further investigations and follow up if required. According to your medical needs this may be in the clinic or at your home. You may find it helpful to write down any questions you have about your treatment before the appointment.
