Psychology Service

What does it do?

The Psychology service provides assessment and psychological therapy for older adults patients (65+) presenting with a range of problems
affecting their mental health (i.e. depression, anxiety, panic attacks, adjustment issues, loss etc.). The service also provides cognitive assessment for patients with early diagnosis of dementia as part of the Brent Memory Clinic. These services can be  provided in the patients home or from the Out Patient Clinic at Belvedere Day Hospital.

Older adults patients (65+) in the Brent area presenting with a range of problems affecting their mental health (i.e. depression, anxiety, panic attacks, adjustment issues, loss etc.

Local service (Brent).

What it costs:

The service is free of charge.

How to access or apply for it:

Referrals to the psychology service can be made by Consultant Psychiatrists, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapist the
Belvedere Day Hospital Staff and other CMHT staff.
The service is available Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Open referral Criteria
A Likely diagnosis of dementia
B In catchment area (Brent)
C If A & B then carer eligible even if outside catchment area
