Carers Service

What does it do?

Our Carer Support Co-ordinators provide one to one support, across Cornwall. They can meet Carers in their own home or at another convenient location for the carer.
This free service aims to provide:

  • Information and help in accessing benefits and other financial support;
  • Information of services and support for the carer and cared for and assistance in accessing these services;
  • Relevant information related to the carer’s circumstances and condition of the cared for;
  • Access to local carers support groups;
  • Emotional support
.

Who it is for?

Working throughout Cornwall, the Carers Support Service provides information, support, expert advice and/or a listening ear to adult carers across Cornwall.

Where it is available?

Local service (Kerrier, Caradon, Carrick, North Cornwall, Penwith, Restormel).

How to access or apply for it:

Anyone can access information from us, whether you are a carer, concerned relative, friend or neighbour, a GP, Health and Social Care worker or a voluntary sector organisation.
If you are a carer and would like to find out more about the service or refer yourself, please contact us on 01872 243531
If you would like to refer a carer, a referral can be made using the online form or by telephoning the main office.
