Waltham Forest - Day Hospital (COPY)

What does it do?

Red Oak is a multi-disciplinary community mental health team covering all of the Borough of Waltham Forest. It offers services to people aged 65 and above who have severe and on-going mental health problems and also to younger people who have dementia.  The team comprises social workers, community mental health nurses, an Admiral nurse, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, psychologists, support workers and an administrator.
Management structures are integrated between health and social services.  Partnership agreements have resulted in a Service Level
Agreement between the two employers. The team outreaches to service users and carers in their own homes.
We offer person-centred assessment and, if required, we provide advice, education and treatment and commission services from other agencies like home care.
