Safe, Warm and Secure

What does it do?

The Safe, Warm and Secure Advisors provide free practical and emotional support for the older person, until completion of the work
They are able to take referrals from professionals, voluntary organisations and directly from the public.
The project is an advice and guidance service, but can not provide funding.

The advisors can help people by:

Identifying available grants and benefits
Home repairs
Loft and cavity wall insulation including loft clearance
Home security
Adaptations such as rails, stairlifts and ramps
Community alarms and Telecare
Arranging free home safety visits

Who it is for?

The project is aimed at providing homeowners, who are over 70 years old, with support to help them improve and maintain their house to keep it safe, warm and secure and so enable them to continue to live independently at home with a positive quality of life.

Where it is available?

Local service (Eastleigh, Test Valley, New Forest).
