What does it do?
Coastcall provides an inexpensive, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year lifeline service for people to remain independent in their home. You don’t have to be a YCH tenant to have Coastcall, it is available to anyone.
Coastcall offers you the reassurance of knowing that in an emergency or serious difficulty, help can be summoned at the press of a button, pulling a cord or by calling the Control Centre on 01723 507367.
Whatever you call for, an immediate response is guaranteed. The type of response is determined by the nature of the problem. The friendly and skilled staff at the Control Centre can contact a personal carer, a nominated friend or relative, send a mobile responder or contact the emergency services and send them out to your home.

- Friends and Family Service
Friends and Family service is an inexpensive way in providing peace of mind not only for the customer but their family and friends as well. This service offers greatest value for money and starts from as little as 57p a day with the option of renting additional equipment such as a linked Smoke Alarm and/or Carbon Monoxide Detector. (There is a small additional charge for these).

- 24-hour call monitoring and contact to your nominated responders
- A weekly charge of £3.99
To qualify for this service you will need at least three nominated friends and/or family members who live within 45 minutes and are able to respond in an emergency. If for some reason they cannot be contacted, a Coastcall Responder will provide first aid, help, guidance and support for an additional fee (currently a fixed fee of £35).
