Milton Abbas Neighbourcar Scheme

What does it do?

Provides transport to medical and other essential appointments as well as travel to social appointments, events and clubs.

Who it is for?

For members of our local communities who do not have access to, or who are unable to use public transport and those who are elderly or have mobility problems.

Where it is available?

Local service (North Dorset).

What it costs:

Dorset Partnership for Older People Project (Dorset POPP) provided start-up funding for this scheme with the aim that it would become self-funding.
To help with administration costs, we ask users to pay a once only registration fee of £5.
Passengers using the service will be asked for a voluntary contribution to cover petrol and car running costs.
Suggested donations: 45p per mile for medical appointments and 50p per mile for social appointments.

What to expect then:

On receipt of your completed registration form, we will send you instructions about how the scheme will operate.
