A Voluntary Car Scheme offering transport for medical appointments, shopping, visiting friends, church or other social events.
Who it is for?
Anyone who is without transport and needs assistance.
Where it is available?
Local service (East Dorset).
What it costs:
Dorset Partnership for Older People Project (Dorset POPP) provided start-up funding for this Scheme, with the aim that it would become self-funding. Donations are requested (volunteer drivers are paid mileage expenses at 50p per mile). The driver will provide an envelope for your donation.

What to expect then:
Once you have registered, you will be given the telephone number of the Co-ordinator in order to make a future booking.
Additional information:
Our drivers are volunteers and use their own vehicles. The scheme normally operates Monday to Saturday but if you need help on a Sunday, this may also be possible.
