U3As are self-help, self-managed lifelong learning co-operatives for older people no longer in full time work, providing opportunities for their members to share learning experiences in a wide range of interest groups and to pursue learning not for qualifications, but for fun. To us the social aspect of the U3A is as important as the learning and there are many opportunities to enjoy a chat over tea and cakes in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

We celebrated our ten year anniversery last year and have seen rapid growth thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of our members.

Currently membership is 270 with over forty interest groups.
