Kingswinford and District U3A
What does it do?
We are a branch of the world wide U3A organisation, which exists so that people who are no longer in full time work can make new friends and follow a variety of new and old interests by attending our interest groups.
u3a used to stand for ‘University of the Third Age’. But this was dropped as it was misleading, suggesting formal learning at a high level. This is not what we are about. Learn, Laugh and Live is now used to better describe what we do.
After years of working or bringing up a family, we offer an informal way to Learn by exploring new or renewed interests. We have over 30 special interest groups, covering a wide range of subjects from architecture to playing ukulele.
All our groups and events have a strong social element. They offer a chance to Laugh and have a good time.
We offer many ways to get out and Live, rather than staying at home. Several of our groups are about keeping fit and wellbeing.
