Harborne & Edgbaston U3A

What does it do?

Interest groups range over a broad spectrum of subjects and vary in both type and size. These are organised by members with the emphasis on learning through their own efforts. New interest groups are started as members identify a particular interest or need. General Meetings are held monthly on the first Thursday in the month when invited speakers talk on a wide variety of subjects of interest to members. These meetings are followed by refreshments and the opportunity to socialise with fellow members.

Who it is for?

U3As are self-help, self-managed lifelong learning co-operatives for older people no longer in full time work, providing opportunities for
their members to share learning experiences in a wide range of interest groups and to pursue learning not for qualifications, but for fun.
