Day Service
Day service for older people in DoncasterWhat does it do?
Aims of our service
The main aim of our day services is to promote and maintain independence whilst providing all the necessary support that is needed. Our centres are a great way to socialise, bring together friends both old and new as well as offering much needed respite for carers and families. All of our centres offer an exceptional service focusing on each person as an individual.
Activities
We offer a vast range of activities throughout the service. Take part in board games, carpet bowls, bingo, or chair based exercises. Develop skills with crafts such as flower arranging, card making or knitting, or just enjoy time to catch up with your friends. If there is something specific you would like to do, or share, we will always do our best to oblige.
Meals
All of our day centres provide freshly prepared home-cooked meals. For many of our service users the meal is a very important part of the day. A lot of effort is put in to making the menu as varied and nutritional as possible. All catering staff are trained in safe food hygiene practices. We have a very good relationship with the Environmental Health Officers who have rated our working practices at all of our centres as 'Excellent'.
