What does it do?
The Independent Living Service is a 24-hour service providing assistance at the touch of a button. This covers home safety and emergency response.
Help at the touch of a button
Customers will receive a Lifeline unit, which can be used to raise an alarm call from anywhere in the home by pressing the pendent button or illuminated button on the unit. Calls are answered at our dedicated 24-hour Response Centre, where trained operators will take the appropriate action.
The Lifeline unit has a powerful loudspeaker and microphone, allowing hands free two-way speech to be established between the caller and the Response Centre Operator. They can offer reassurance at times of distress.
