The Rose Day Centre

What does it do?

Our aim at the Rose Day Centre is to provide a warm, caring, friendly and secure environment for the elderly. We believe that your day at the Rose Day Centre Should be something to look forward to!
Our aim Is to satisfy the expressed needs and wishes of those who attend. It is a place where people can relax, and find a sympathetic ‘ear’. A home from home atmosphere; participating, if you wish, in a range of enjoyable activities.
On arrival at 10am refreshments will be served. During the morning there are papers, a chance to catch up on the news from friends and activities such as hangman (dictionary at the ready!), darts (electronic scoring to keep tally!) and other games - all from the comfort of a chair!

A two course lunch is provided (cooked on the premises), with special dietary needs catered for as far is possible.
The afternoon may have a planned activity, or chance to rest. Refreshments are given before departure at about 4pm.
Some days will involve a trip out (maybe the local garden centre); or visits from musicians, the book sellers and such like - there is always plenty going on!
