Driver Refresher Programme

What does it do?

There are group discussions on topics such as new driving techniques, hazard awareness, staying safe, keeping fit to drive, motorways and roundabouts. No driving is involved on the day but you will be given the contact details of local driving instructors to book a 90 minute practical session if you wish.

Who it is for?

The scheme is for drivers of young and old and works in conjunction with current road safety campaigns such as Drive 55 Plus, Community Safety Drives and Young Drivers.

Local service (East Dorset, West Dorset, Weymouth & Portland, Christchurch, North Dorset, Purbeck).

What it costs:

Where the courses are linked to current road safety campaigns such as Drive 55 Plus, Community Safety Drives and Young Drivers they may be free of charge. The fee is usually £5 for the half day presentation and £37.50 for the 90 minute practical.
