What does it do?

The University of the Third Age: where ‘university’ is used in its original sense – a place where people can come to learn and to enjoy the sharing of knowledge, interests and ideas. It is a worldwide learning organisation with over 300,000 members in the UK alone who are no longer in full-time employment and have reached their ‘third age’, a time to keep minds and bodies alert and active.

The Dorchester and District U3A offers a programme of educational and leisure interests which are described in the pages of this website with up to date information, membership details, contacts and links to other websites of related interest particularly that of the National Office of the Third Age Trust.

Who it is for?

Dorchester & District U3A is open to retired and semi-retired people, wishing to broaden their experiences or to share their skills.
