Alumhurst Day Centre

What does it do?

Our PIE (Promoting Independence and Enabling) scheme helps you re-gain the skills you need to live at home after a stroke or illness. You may need to practise cooking skills, build your confidence or reduce the risk of falling. Whatever you would like to achieve, our qualified and experienced staff will encourage you to make the most of your skills.

Who it is for?

We offer day care for older people who have a physical disability and prefer to continue living in their own home but need support.

Where it is available?

Local service (Bournemouth).

How to access or apply for it:

Please contact Bournemouth Community Care Services (adult social care) on 01202 454979 to arrange an assesssment.

What to expect then:

We talk to you about what help and support you need. This helps us to decide if your needs qualify for day care.  If you choose, we can also speak with your partner, carer, family member or friend.
If you attend a day centre we agree a care plan with you to achieve your goals. We check this plan with you regularly to make sure the services provided meet your needs.
