Help at Hand

What does it do?


The Help at Hand (previously known as Low level) helps mainly older/disabled/ people to remain independent and supports them at home.  You can get an assessment to find out which services would be of most help to you.  Some of the services we offer are:
  • Basic Food shopping. 
  • Ironing
  • Making and changing beds
  • Cleaning internal windows
  • Household tasks – general cleaning and laundry.
  • Prescription collection.

Who it is for?

The service aims to provide vulnerable people with help with housework, Laundry and shopping.

Where it is available?

Local service (Telford & Wrekin).

What it costs:

Help at Hand cost is £12.50 per hour and the minimum is 1 hour per week.

What to expect then:

Client needs to contact the office then the team leader will arrange a suitable day and time to come to your home and discuss the service with you.

Additional information:

All staff have a DBS (police check)
All staff have had references/inductions/training/ prior to starting with Help at Hand.
Every effort will be made to enable the same support to come to you unless they are on holiday or ill then we will arrange for a cover worker to provide the service.
 No contract to sign.
