Contact Scheme

Contact Scheme to reach older people

What does it do?

The aim of our Contact Scheme is to reach older people who may feel isolated or lonely and to ensure they are given the help and support they need.

Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin staff can visit people in their homes to discuss their needs and raise awareness of the services and support systems that are available to older people.

Working closely with local communities, our aim is to increase independence and social opportunities for older people.

Contact us on 01952 201 803 for free information about existing services for older people in your area. Ask us about day centres, groups and other facilities in your neighbourhood.

Are you looking for companionship and friendship? Consider our Telford & Wrekin home visiting scheme.

Are you a community group leader or a member of a club for older people? Our Contact Officers can support your current community group or maybe assist in setting up a new group that will benefit older people.

Tell us what you want on 01952 201 803 and help us to help others.

You have a lifetime of experience, skills and knowledge to share and your contribution is vital in promoting a better environment and improving services in your community.

Do you have ideas or suggestions you want to discuss? Do you see better ways to make use of existing facilities?
