IT Training

What does it do?

n partnership with Welwyn and Hatfield Council and the Workers Educational Association several training courses are delivered in the SilverSurfer Room at Jim MacDonald Centre, 3 MacDonald Court, High View, Hatfield, AL10 8HR.  The room is fully equipped with six computers. The courses are run in small friendly groups with a tutor to guide learners at their own pace.

When courses are not running the Silver Surfer room is available for practice, internet research and emailing.

Training courses not for you?

Computer facilities with free access to email and the internet are available at Age UK Hertfordshire’s day centre, Douglas Tilbe House, Hall Grove, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 4PH and at the Jim MacDonald Centre, Hatfield (see above).  Here you can practise information technology (I T) skills with support from willing volunteers.  Many of these volunteers have taken advantage of the Age Concern Hertfordshire training and now wish to expand their horizons, share their knowledge with others and continue to learn together.
