Free short walking routes and guided walks in England.

What does it do?

Get Walking Keep Walking provides free downloadable short walking routes and information about walking in the following areas:

Leicester, Durham, Swindon, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield. Walking routes will also be available from November 2012 in Kent, Essex, Coventry, Dorset, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Stafford and Accrington.

We also lead free short walks in Leicester and Durham.

There are also various opportunities for people to volunteer as walk leaders, ambassadors, route developers and editors. For more information email rachel.jenkins@ramblers.org.uk

Who it is for?

Get Walking Keep Walking is for people new to walking but very suitable for older people as our free walking routes and led walks are very short and mostly easy access.

Regional service (Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Durham, Kent, South Yorkshire, Surrey, West Midlands, Worcestershire).

Walking Routes - you can download free walking routes instantly from www.getwalking.org

Led Walks: if you see a led walk advertised online you can just turn up on the day. If you contact a coordinator about a led walk he or she will get back to you about details of led walks in your area.
