What does it do?
The service allows badge holders to park closer to their destination. The national concessions apply only to on-street parking.
Who it is for?
The service is for people with severe walking difficulties who travel either as drivers or passengers. The scheme also applies to registered blind people and people with very severe upper limb disabilities who regularly drive a vehicle but cannot turn a steering wheel by hand.
Where it is available?
Local service (East Dorset, West Dorset, Weymouth & Portland, Christchurch, North Dorset, Purbeck).
What it costs:
A fee of £2 for the issue of the Disabled Parking Badge. Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to 'Dorset County Council'. Please do not send cash through the post.

What to expect then:
You will be notified in writing and required to sign a declaration form.
